A quilt will warm your body and comfort your soul.

About Us

The mission of the Guild is to provide an atmosphere of fellowship for persons interested in the art and craft of quilt making and related fiber arts by the sharing of skills and knowledge in the field of contemporary and traditional quilt making.

The Guild shall:

Encourage modern quilt making and collecting.

Provide educational activities such as demonstrations and speakers, special interest workshops and lectures.

Support and sponsor quilting activities such as community events that provide the opportunity to share the art and enjoyment of quilting.

Serve the community through charitable activities involving quilting.

Enlighten the public as to the substantial history of quilting as an art form as well as a continuing craft.

Established in 1985, Gateway Quilters Guild has met monthly to share quilts and their stories, to hear regionally and nationally known quilters share their journeys, and to learn new techniques in guild-sponsored workshops.

We strive to instruct the community in the quilting arts by hosting a biennial quilt show in odd years, and we give to the community by sewing many quilts for distribution to needy children and adults. To date, more than 4,000 of our quilts have been a warm hug to someone in need through our Quilters’ Embrace other community projects.
